Ocupational Activities Center · renovation
This project is a pro-bono collaboration with an ONG that works with persons with multiple disabilities, and consists in the renovation of an old school building in order to accommodate an occupational activities centre for the ONG users.
The building area remains the same, with the exception of a small extension on the north part of the building which accommodates the sanitary facilities and the change rooms. All the area previously occupied by the porch is transformed in a multi-purpose room for the users activities. All the spaces have become free of any
physical barrier and the space has become more fluid. It was a concern that the building can maintain a direct relationship with the exterior.
The renovation of the building also intends to resolve some constructive problems in the existing building and that were inadequate to its actual requirements.
