Caretaker House
Ponte de Lima, Portugal · 2021
House renovation
The project is about the reconstruction of a building which dates back from the end of the 17th century, in a very degraded situation, for temporary and permanent housing.
Located in a privileged location in the old town of Ponte de Lima, dated from 1125, nearby the river and adjacent to a pedestrian avenue flanked by centenary Platanus trees, the building was once part of a monastery complex as a lodging. After the property been sold, it became the farm caretaker's house.
